SAFETY
**Did You Know?** 💬
🔒 Investing in Safety! 🔒 Over the last few years, we’ve secured grant funding to enhance our safety measures, including a door monitoring system at the high school to prevent propped doors. We’ve also acquired critical resources for use in emergencies, such as trauma kits and reunification supplies. Your child’s safety is our top priority! #SchoolSafetyMonth #SLSD

VETERAN’S DAY
Crosby Elementary will be having a short celebration honoring our Veterans on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. Our program will be held outside. Should there be inclement weather, we will move the program inside. If you have several children/siblings inviting the same Veteran, please just respond only once to the oldest sibling's teacher.
We would like to invite and honor parents/relatives of our students who have served in the armed forces to attend. Please respond below so that we may plan on the number of honorees that may join us.
Please respond to the google form below by Friday, October 25.

SOCIAL GROWTH
HURRICANE SUPPORT
In the wake of the recent hurricane, many families and communities are facing significant challenges. If you would like to help support those affected, click the link: https://mychurchonfire.org/Hurricane-Relief
FAVORITE BOOK CHARACTER PUMPKIN CONTEST
Crosby will be holding a fun optional family project! Decorate your pumpkin as your favorite book character! Paint it, dress it, accessorize it, but NO CARVING! Medium sized pumpkins or artificial pumpkins work best (ones that your child can carry by him/herself). You may work with your child, but please don't do it for him/her. DO NOT bring the book in, just the pumpkin! Pumpkins should be brought it Monday (28th) and Tuesday (29th) ONLY!
ANASTASIA YOUTH EDITION PERFORMANCE
On November 21st our 4th and 5th grade students will be going to the Harrison High School Activity Center to watch the dress rehearsal of Anastasia Youth Edition put on by our Harrison Junior School students. Students will be transported on school buses for the 10:00 a.m. show and will return before lunch.
COUNSELING SERVICES
At Crosby Elementary, we have several levels of mental health support for students. Mrs. Lee, our full-time school counselor, is the first line of contact for any of your student’s social or emotional needs. We also partner with Best Point to offer school therapy to students. Best Point also offers Care Coordination to help parents in the home as well. A Best Point referral can be made by Mrs. Lee or by you as the parent or guardian:

CROSBY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTO
Halloween party information has been posted on the Crosby Elementary PTO page. Due to space constraints in classrooms and parking, we limit parties to 3 parents per class. One parent will sign up to bring a snack, one will facilitate a craft, and one will bring a game. There will not be a head room parent. You will need to go to the PTO membership portal to sign-up to attend your child’s party. If you sign up for one party, we ask that you allow other parents to sign up before repeating in the same class.
