Mission

The mission of the Southwest Local School District’s Business Advisory Council is to foster cooperation among our schools, local businesses and the community we serve to ensure that our students are well prepared to meet employer’s needs and to be highly productive in the labor market. The goals of the committee are to identify new and emerging careers; to offer the school district recommendations on required knowledge, job skills, and competencies; to advocate for effective curriculum; to offer work-based learning opportunities; and to make recommendations on facilities and equipment needs the district needs to teach work-based skills.
