Looking at the Week Ahead...
Happy Fri-YAY Everybody,
Your help is still needed with our annual World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser. Currently we have around 300 boxes of chocolates out to be sold but we have another 500 to go. If your child is involved in an activity where you could set up a table to sell chocolates, that would be wonderful and usually quite easy. Once the first box of chocolates is sold and money is brought in, students/parents can request multiple boxes to sell at a time. Don’t forget we also have boxes of only caramel too. Please call the school office if you have any questions or need many cases of chocolates. Thanks for your help.
Don’t forget you can follow us on Twitter and Facebook. Please make sure you are members of the correct sites. There were several “unofficial” sites created, and we are trying to inactivate them. We have been posting a lot of pictures of events happening at Harrison Elementary. Feel free to send them out to family and friends. This is a great way to keep up on events at school. We have attached a link to this email with all the Harrison Elementary social media accounts.

World’s Finest Chocolates – Your Help is Needed!!!
On Thursday, January 23rd we began our annual World’s Finest Chocolates fundraiser. The funds raised from this sale will be used to bring in more assemblies and programs for your children. In the past we were able to furnish each classroom (over a 4-year period of sales) a classroom set of computers to use throughout the day. Our goal this year is to sell 860 cases of chocolates. If every child could sell at least one box of chocolates, we will be close to achieving this goal. Permission slips were sent home last week with students to participate. By signing and returning this permission slip you agree and understand that the school CANNOT accept any boxes or partial boxes back once they have been given to a student, left the building and the sale has ended. If you have any questions, please call the school office. Additional permission slips can be printed from clicking on the link at the bottom of this email. The fundraiser concludes on Friday, February 21st.
Harrison Community Softball Sign-up
We are coming to the end of this year’s softball signup period. If you have not signed up yet and plan to do so, the last day to signup for Harrison Softball is Sunday. Once registration closes, teams will start to be assembled. Online registration is at http://HARRISONSOFTBALL.COM .
School Counselor Week
Next week is School Counselor Week. We are so happy and fortunate to have Mr. Kinnett at our school to work with all our students and their families. Please feel free to drop him an email or note expressing your appreciation.

PTO Planning Meeting
PTO meetings this school year will take place on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the school cafeteria. The next PTO meeting is scheduled for this upcoming Monday, February 24th. We hope to see many of you at the meeting.
You can now join PTO. Your small membership fee of $10 helps us provide services for the kids! This does not require you to volunteer or attend meetings. It is all up to you how much you would like to be involved. If you have any questions, please reach out to a board member.
Joining the PTO is not a huge commitment and often looks like 1-3 service hours a year with opportunities in the evenings, during the school day or can be as simple as signing up to send in cookies for an event. Everyone doing a little adds up to a LOT for our kids.
