Harrison Youth Track & Field

We are pleased to present information for the 2025 season of Harrison's Youth Track & Field program that is available to the entire community. The design of this program is to introduce the sport of track & field to kids in our area. Participants will learn basic fundamentals of the sport and at the same time develop athletic skills such as speed, strength, running form, and jumping and throwing ability that are useful in all sports.  We are looking to have a fun, low-key environment that will build a passion, love, and interest in the sport.

Students from grades K-6 in the Southwest Local School District are eligible for this program. Practices begin the week of Monday, March 31 and will all take place at the Harrison High School Track & Field Complex. A calendar with specific dates and times can be printed off from the registration page available on the Booster’s website.

Meets will be on Saturdays at 9:00 am beginning Saturday, April 12 with the last meet on Saturday, May 17. Meets will be held at Harrison, Wyoming or Taylor High School.  Athletes are not required to attend all meets/practices.

We will be using Facebook to communicate practice and meet updates.  Please join Harrison Youth Track & Field on Facebook to get updates!

Online Registration ONLY through the Harrison Athletic Booster website!  Please visit harrisonathleticboosters.com, create a profile, and select “2025 Harrison Youth Track Registration” to enroll.  Enrollment fee must be paid by credit/debit card.  Cost of registration is $40.00.   Registration will close on Sunday, March 23!

VOLUNTEERS are NEEDED!

We must have Grade Level Coaches to run drills at practices and supervise athletes at the meets!  Grade levels without coaches will NOT have teams this year. This is a great way to get an up-close view of your child’s performance and helps make the program run smoothly! We will also need volunteers to run events at our home meets and hand out ribbons at the finish line. With 200 athletes last year we will need the help!

For more information or to volunteer, please contact Head Coach Aimee Tenhundfeld: aktenhundfeld@gmail.com
