Greeting, Miami Whitewater Elementary Parents & Guardians!

As we approach the end of the school year, we want to ensure your child continues to grow, explore, and thrive during the summer months. We are excited to share a variety of enriching summer camps and programs available to students in grades K–5 that support both academic development and social-emotional growth.

Below, you will find a list of opportunities available through our school, district partners, local universities, and community organizations:


1. Open Studio Summer Ceramics Camp at MWE

  • Students signing up for this camp would work independently on their chosen clay projects (or any other ideas they come up with). Mrs. Ferguson will be there to help facilitate and guide any ideas they bring to camp!
  • Suggested age for this camp = grades 5-high school with ceramic experience
  • Dates: June 16-20 9:00-11:30 or June 23-27 12:30-3:00

2. Directed Summer Ceramics Camp at MWE

  • Students signing up for this camp would work on hand building techniques, and will also get the opportunity to have a directed experience on the potter’s wheel!
  • Suggested age for this camp = grades 3 and up; no experience necessary
  • Dates: June 16-20 12:30-3:00 or June 23-27 9:00-11:30

3. Harrison Athletic Boosters Summer Sports Camps

  • Students will learn about teamwork, communication, and confidence-building when they enroll in our Harrison summer sports camps.  Choices include basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, tennis, cheerleading, and golf!

4. Cincinnati & Hamilton County – Harrison Branch Public Library Reading Challenge

  • Summer Reading program! Kids and teens can earn prizes by reading and having fun all summer long.

5. Miami Whitewater Elementary – Grow to Know intervention program

  • Students in MTSS/WIN Time tier 3 will receive personal invitations to our summer intervention program
  • We will have a wait list for other families who are interested in summer interventions
  • Dates: June 23-27

6. Mount St. Joseph University – Hoops Camp

  • Basketball camp at the Mount this summer is for boys & girls June 2-5.

7. Xavier University Summer Day Camps

  • This summer, Xavier University is thrilled to offer a diverse range of engaging camps for children of all ages. From aspiring actors to future musicians, our programs provide a fun and supportive environment for creativity to flourish.

8. Harrison Youth Football & Cheerleading

  • Football camp will be in June at Harrison HS
  • Cheer camp will be in mid-June at the Harrison Activity Center
  • Registration for camp & to participate next fall is open now & ends on April 30th.

9. Harrison Youth Volleyball Program – 2025 fall season

  • Skill Level Divisions
    • Passers (2nd - 3rd grade)
    • Setters (4th grade)
    • Peppers (5th grade)
    • Spikers (6th)
    • Aces (7th-8th grade only) - REGISTRATION IN AUGUST 
  • Sign-Up Dates: May 1-31: grades 2-6 (Registration will close when league cap of 170 athletes is reached)
